555 Howard St

Description

555 Howard Street tower is slated to yield 69 residential condos over a 255-room luxury hotel, with a publicly accessible bar and adjacent open space on the top floor. It will have about 37 floors, 127 units, and a quadruple height lobby fronting Howard, a ground floor restaurant, a sky bar on its 36th floor and a rooftop that is open to the public.

Building Features

  • 555 Howard is a 37-story tower developed by Hong-Kong based Pacific Eagle. The building is designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, in collaboration with Mark Cavagnero Associates. It will rise up to about 405-feet in height, and features an all-glass façade with a double curtain wall on the west side of the building for energy efficiency and acoustics, as it will be next to an elevated roadway for Salesforce Transbay Transit buses.
  • The building’s design marries sustainability with high architectural style. It will be heated by tall solar tubes embedded within the building’s glass walls. It will also include 70 off-street parking spaces, plus 95 Class 1, and 25 Class 2 bicycle parking spaces.
  • 555 Howard would seek LEED Platinum certification with green building features, and may integrate solar thermal into its façade.
