I feel guilty about not writing this review sooner so that others also get to know an awesome Realtor® as Jessie! Now we've settled in our house for more than half a year, the unpacking finally got into a decent shape, I absolutely need to write this. Having Jessie as our Realtor® is the best decision in our house buying journey. With all the horror story about how long it takes to buy a place in this hot housing market, it only took us 2 months from start to finish, and this would not have happened without Jessie's expertise in this market! So below are the things I love about her: 1. Expert knowledge about the market: we got our house because of her right decision on putting down a preemptive bid. We didn't think the seller would accept such a bid in this market, but as you can tell how right Jessie was to make that call! 2. Very patient, honest and respect our thoughts and decisions: she started off by driving us to different neighborhoods with houses in our price range and certain criteria to give us the feel about differences in each neighborhood so that we know better where we want to focus on our search on. Then she would send us all the qualified houses including off-market ones to review, and also provide us comps so that we have a good idea on what the selling price would really look like. She would take us to one house multiple times when we are very interested in the place but didn't remember all the details of the place. She never pushed us to bid on places to just get the sales done. She always tells us to make decisions that we feel comfortable with, and at the same time she offers her honest opinion on what she thinks about the places we looked at. This is really a precious quality to us! 3. Great network with all house buying needs: she connected us with the best loan officer to handle our complicated loan situation. She connected us with contractor and architect so that we can ask all sorts of house remodeling questions. She even connected us with her other clients to chat about their experience living in the neighborhoods we are looking at. 4. Great work ethic: she pretty much spoiled me on any communication response time! It's Ninja speed! Not sure how she manages to do that, but I loved the fact that I did not have to feel anxious to get my questions answered. Also she would still take care of us even after the deal closed. Our house windows are not well sealed, so the much rain we got this year made its way into our house. She still helps us communicate with the seller agent. We didn't expect this. I was actually concerned that at some point that she would be so fed up with me and my unreasonable demands that she wouldn’t work with me anymore, but, surprisingly, she stuck around! Jessie brought me down to reality by educating me about the market and showing me places that I would never have considered. She also made me realize, after all the disappointments, that it’s really difficult to find the “perfect” place and that it’s okay to at least have a starter home and work around the things that are missing. She really gave me a new perspective on buying a home and she never made me feel pressured. If it weren’t for Jessie, I wouldn’t have my current new place! Jessie in particular specializes in condos and lofts in the SOMA/Mission Bay area. And, she’s really good at it! She knows the market really well and is well connected in the area. Jessie was able to offer me some off-market opportunities, which is unheard of in such a difficult housing market. Jessie is an expert and tenacious negotiator. I had actually won two bids in the past with her when I was first starting my search. I didn’t take them though, but because of her skill at getting info from the selling agents and setting a good bid amount, I was able to beat out 10+ other bids. Furthermore, Jessie was also able sweet talk to the builder of my new construction condo to get me a good selling price and a really generous design credit! She is a one stop shop, and helped us manage the entire move out and staging process.
